ENERGY-BOOSTING BREAKFASTS

Breakfast should boost your energy with quality slow and fast carbs, good fatty acids, proteins, vitamins and minerals.

Food is the first source of well-being for our body, and it allows us to take care of it inside out.

Essential to children’s growth, let’s discover some wellness recipes for this meal:

BUDWIG CREAM

Invented by the biochemist Johanna Budwig who wanted to heal the body with raw food, Budwig cream was later popularised by Doctor Katia Kousmine. It has a high nutritional value and each of its ingredients provides the necessary enzymes for its own digestion. For those who are not hungry in the morning, this cream can be enjoyed at lunch.

Rich in fibre, it provides a substantial amount of omega-3 which helps to keep spirits up and soothes the nervous system. It is ideal maintain the body in shape.

For one person, you will need:

4 tbsp of low-fat fromage blanc or fruit compote
2 tbsp cold-pressed virgin vegetable oil: flax, walnut, camelina, hemp, wheat germ or rapeseed
2 tbsp raw and ground oilseeds: flax, sunflower, pumpkin, pine nut or hazelnut
2 tbsp raw and ground organic whole grain: buckwheat, barley, oats or millet
180 g of seasonal fruit or vegetables
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tsp honey

Mix the ingredients in a bowl and enjoy.

In terms of oil, flaxseed oil has the highest omega-3 content. Walnut and camelina oils are rich in vitamin E. Wheat germ oil is full of minerals and good fatty acids. Hemp oil contains omega-6 and 9 and rapeseed oil omega-3 and 9.

DETOX JUICE 3.2.1

Grapes are excellent for circulation and for the skin. With their high antioxidant content, trace elements and vitamin B, they prep our bodies for winter. Their skin and seeds are also rich in flavonoids that regenerate cells and alleviate inflammation. Here is our juice recipe:

You will need:
3 bunches of green grapes
2 kiwis
1 organic cucumber

Peel the kiwis and blend them in an extractor with the unpeeled cucumber and green grapes. Your health and beauty drink is ready.

Kiwi fruit is rich in vitamin C and potassium. Cucumber is hydrating and has draining properties. This juice will detoxify your body and give it strength.

THE GOJI-CHIA-ALMOND MILK SMOOTHIE

The goji berry is a fruit used in ancient Chinese pharmacopoeia. It stimulates the immune system and protects the liver and kidneys. Chia is rich in omega-3 and essential fatty acids. The almond is rich in vitamin E and is a great antioxidant.

Here’s our recipe to make you feel good in the morning:

You will need:
240 ml almond milk
120 g banana
30 g fresh spinach
20 g goji berries
10 g chia seeds
1 teaspoon honey
100 g mixed blueberries and raspberries

Blend everything together and you will obtain a delicious, fruity, invigorating smoothie.

A good breakfast is a great start to the day. The gut is stimulated and its microbiota is restored with these healthy foods.
